Sono sempre io ,e qui noto sempre il tizio con uno standard in D,forse anche inventio 10 presentava la stessa accordatura, ovviamente voleva un A basso,giusto?,forse ri sbaglio un altra volta qualcosa?i miei complimenti comunque,a tutt e due!

Can any musicologist tell me exactly what it is that Jethro Tull is doing by playing all the same notes yet is sounds so different. Is it just emphasis. Everyone else plays it up front, but Iain Anderson seems to play it laid back. ua-cam.com/video/pqxwXla3-Bw/v-deo.html
I am not a musicologist but I did sleep at a Holiday Inn Express last night. IMHO this is exactly the piece that you refer to. I began studying classical guitar in 1977. Jethro Tull led me there. I was so enamored with their music that I began studying ( right out of the Army, at 20 years old) . This was the piece that led me to study. I play it daily now ( Bach’s version). If you can read music and listen to the bass ( classical guitar) this is almost an exact replication. The melody almost exact. However I believe the key is changed to Am and of course jazzed up a bit. Listen to Segovia’s version and then Tull. Tull played that Elizabethan Rock. It led me to Bach. After learning to play classical guitar it was difficult to return to Rock only. Bach is so much bigger. Hope this helps. But in my opinion it is basically the same piece much the same as “Lover’s Concerto “ in the 60’s was stolen from the Anna Magdalena Notebook. Thank You Ian for leading me to Bach:)
He's swinging the notes instead of playing them as straight. So what is written as two equal notes is played as a triplet with one note doubled in length. It's not precisely that, but that's a good place to start and then you can play around with it a little. The important part is that what are written as equal notes are instead played long short long short long short.
